Lotte Glob, Far North Pottery
A distinctive jug, I believe to be by Lotte Glob a Danish ceramic artist who had a pottery in Scotland in the late 60s. It has no lid and a large chip but interesting.

Re: Lotte Glob, Far North Pottery
Lotte Glob has a connection with Alexander Sharpe through the Morar Pottery I believe.

Vase Signed Lott - Lotte Glob, Far North Pottery
Picked up a nice little lot of studio pottery today at an auction in Edinburgh, mostly Scottish including Margery Clinton, Largo Pottery and David Body. This little pot was included and I absolutely love the glaze but drawing a blank with the mark, I think it's LH but happy to be corrected. Measures approximately 9cm in height and 11cm in diameter.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Obituary for Dave Illingworth, which mentions Morar and Lotte Glob

Returning to Lancaster, Dave became a watchmaker and soon bought his first boat, a Morecambe Bay prawner. But, dissatisfied with shopkeeping, he studied ceramics at art school and then headed north, eventually taking over the pottery at Morar in Invernesshire.
There, in 1964, began his life partnership with the Danish potter Lotte Glob. After four years of travels and travails, they finally found a base in a disused army camp near Cape Wrath, Sutherland, already rechristened Balnakeil Craft Village. Dave turned a concrete shell into a family home, while keeping a succession of cast-off vehicles on the road...

Thank you so much Naomi - she's extraordinarily talented, yes both Lotte and Naomi, I would have had this as Cornish all day long with out the signature. maybe there is a seam of clay running between the top and bottom of the UK.
