A nice pot bellied stem vase with anchor dot mark using L & E (or F)
Hi
I quite like this little vase. The mark seems to be an anchor chape made from a L and E or maybe F.

My first post - so apologies if this isn't the right way about this......... I have just bought a large mug with this mark on it. Has anyone any suggestions who the potter is?

Welcome to the Forum p-b am and not a problem about your post but adding an image of the mug might help with identifying the potter.
If someone had got a suggestion for the potter it would appear here so the answer to that part of your post is, No.

Unfortunately this mark has yet to be identified. It can take a while so don't give up. I do most of my searching on ebay's studio pottery section as eventually one will turn up with an attribution &/or label.
