Fat lava style vase marked TM - Melitta Teubner, N. Germany

Fat lave-style cone-shaped vase.
The seller said she hadn't been able to id it and reckoned she was pretty good at id-ing stuff, so the challenge is on (unless it's a student piece, in which case I give up).
Inscribed TM or MT on the base. The other marks  seem to be a product of the glaze across the bottom cracking and peeling off in places.

Did Tony Morris ever do anything like this?

It does have all the markings of being the work of a hobby potter.

Seems it may be by Melitta Teubner, a potter from northern Germany who marks her pots like this, and uses a red clay and lava glazes.
