oxblood glazed vase

   

would be great to find out who made this piece of pottery
even it is marked quite clearly i don't even know in which country / region of the world to search.
it's quite well done and i like the glaze...
got the feeling it might be from japan or korea?
just a shot in the dark though

The shape doesn't look traditional enough to be Oriental.
