Re: John & Kate Turner
I don't know the work of John Turner but the mark shown doesn't look like the mark in the 1st edition of BSPM. Does the identification come from some other source?

Re: John & Kate Turner
I had two sources with the same mark, clay and glaze colour by John and Kate Turner, but the original webpages have disappeared so I only have them on Pinterest.

Re: John & Kate Turner
That's fine if you are happy but, as the information this site has provided is being used to help sell the item on Ebay, I felt the need to make sure that the identification was correct.

Re: John & Kate Turner
Certainly has a lot in common with this bowl which has - if I remember it rightly - The Book mark:

Re: John & Kate Turner
That link HB does really confirms for me that this bowl is by John & Kate Turner.
I think having evidence to back up opinions expressed on the Forum is important to add weight to identifications that any of us make.

Re: John & Kate Turner
Both John & Kate are now deceased.
He posted examples of their mark on Facebook which confirms the one at the top of the page.
He didn't mention it, but they also wrote "t" on their green-brown and blue-grey glazed standard ware (I guess for the sake of speed), like the second example above. He's building a collection of their pots if anyone has any for sale. He's Matt Jarvis on FB.
"...My grandparents John and Kate Turner, were potters in Narborough, Norfolk. Sadly as of last year they're now not with us anymore.... Their mark was the little 't'..."
