Apart from finding out its by Kim Reilly daughter of John, I can't find out much more. Does anyone have any info?

Studio Tile Topped Table John Reilly IOW?
Picked up this fantastic table, signed Reilly. I think its by John Reilly from IOW who was at Ventnor pottery. I think it was more likely to have been made as a wall panel than a table. In a review of the IOW potteries book it mentions some tile panels made in the '50's by Jo Lester and John Reilly. Does anyone have the book (Potty?) Any help would be appreciated.

Re: John Reilly (Ventnor Isle of Wight)
I'm 99% sure it is by John Reilly. (Signature looks like his, from what I can see and the decoration is right)
The tiles would also be marked on the back. (assuming they are stuck down?)
It will have been made when John Reilly was at the Ventnor Pottery Studio's, so not while he was still in partnership with Joe Lester at Niton (his actual name was "Joe" and his son's was Joseph, tho there is much misinformation about this online and in books). Joe often went into a partnership with former apprentices to help them start a new pottery in a different area of the IoW, later on they would work under their own name rather than a joint mark.
As you say there is a good chance this was initially a tiled panel, but judging by what I can see of the tables legs, there is a fair chance it dates to when the tiles were made (I suspect 70's), so it may have been made like it.
In terms of value, there are some keen collectors of John Reilly's work so if you plan to sell it be careful not to sell it too cheap

Re: John Reilly (Ventnor Isle of Wight)
Thanks for the help Potty. The tiles are stuck down, but i'm not going to attempt to remove them as I'll most probably break them

Re: John Reilly (Ventnor Isle of Wight)
Any chance we can see the bottom of the table Dave?
p.s. Removing tiles never goes well, so I'd not advise them either.

Re: John Reilly (Ventnor Isle of Wight)
I would say it is by John Reilly, the mark is different to those listed in the IoW pottery book, but the style is definitely John Reilly.
I'm unsure if Kim ever worked in the fathers style as such, but the work I have seen / have by her is a lot different. She did however work with her father and at one point as he focused more on his painting, she took over, but I believe her wares were quite different.
So to sum that up, I'm 99% confidant it's John and not Kim.

John Reilly (Ventnor Isle of Wight)
So many IOW potters, so don't want to mix it up with the others.
Howdah lampbase
7 in Plate
6 1/2 in bowl, not a good pic.
Also got some tiles when I can find them!

I don't have many by John Reilly, but this is my favourite:

Re: John Reilly (Ventnor Isle of Wight)
Hi potty, not sure about that one. Referring to the IOW book, the collaboration was at
the NITON pottery 1955-60. The partnership was "amicably dissolved" when he moved
to Ventnor. However the "VENTNOR" variant of the standard Jo mark is not shown
anywhere in the book, strange.

Yeah indeed, pretty sure it's an early one, but not sure exactly when it was used.
I'm sure it's a Reilly piece though, his designs are very recognisable.
