Seems to be a number or two after the B - B91? Looks to be quite old. I suspect it's early 20th Century or even 1890s, if he numbers are a date.
I don't know how Buckley stamped their pottery, but that's a possibility.

Could this be an early piece by Alan Brough?

Doubtful. Not his mark or his style of pottery.

Thanks for your reply Naomi. Here is where I got this idea from.

Ceramike - British Studio Pottery - Mystery Pot - Reply

This one is really bugging me. It looks like a mark with some age and there should be some information available out there.

Ah, I see. No that mark on Ceramike is Paul Berman's PB mark, where the P is reversed. Just a poor photo, unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure you're looking at an early 20thC piece, rather than modern studio pottery.

There looks to be more to this mark under the glaze, than just the B.
Is there also underglaze writing in a square panel on the right?
Looks early 20th c. I have seen Dicker ware similar to this before, but
they don't usually have a foot-rim.
