I recently sold a vase with great glaze - same mark

Excellent, thank you DD for identifying it for me It measures 15 cm tall x 6.5cm diameter.

Samuel Saunders did a printed mark, and was earthenware. The glazes are almost invariably monotone, and the glazing on this piece sis completely different from the glazes they used pre-war. But as to who it is?

Yes, typical "first period" ware 1926-32. I have a similar vase in the first picture.

Yes, It's actually SES intertwined, but not very clear on your pot.
