Ashtray, glass inside - Michael Cohen USA? Empty Ashtray, glass inside - Michael Cohen USA?

i've seen this very small ashtray several times at a local dealers but shied away from the £15 price tag.  Does anyone recognise the mark?   Stupidly i didn't take a pic of the piece from above so you can see the form of it.

It's not an ashtray but a glaze test done by an unknown potter. So pretty much worthless.

Looks like an ashtray to me. But not come across the mrk before so, to paraphrase SP, worth less (than £15). I don’t think it’s a test glaze piece; there are plenty of 60s-70s ashtrays with glass filled centres.

thanks for you help in this - as i haven't bought the item, i don't feel too bad about leaving it for £15. Perhaps if the price comes down, i may buy it as a bit of fun.
