Glazed Stoneware Vase I mark to base Empty Glazed Stoneware Vase I mark to base

Can anyone help me to identify this mark on the base of a glazed stoneware vase.  It looks like an I or a goblet in a rectangle.

I suspect it's a Far Eastern import. Maybe Japanese.
