Nouveau German? - Bay series 750, 1980s
Hi all,
I have found a rather lovely vase, but it has me baffled, the pattern moorcroft-esque, seems very art nouveau, yet it is German. It has been tough to try and research because of the popularity of other german pottery with the lava glaze etc Anyone any ideas? Thanks.
Heres the stamp and base:

I used to have a ton of photos on Webshots. Then they wanted to charge and everyone who didn't pay up lost their photos - me included. So if you have anything on Imageshack you want to keep, I'd download it or pay up.

I'll have to find an alternative to get better images on this post then. As regards the vase has anybody seen this style of glaze and pattern on German ceramics though? I have not found anything similar. I would hazard a gues that this is from a period before the Lava glazes were developed, i do not think it is a very old vase though as the base does not show too much wear, unless it has been well looked after of course.

It's probably Scheurich or Bay keramik , one or the other.

Scheurich
I can't make out the numbers, but I would go for Scheurich, especially if that first number is 750.

I'm not sure, but when I Googled Scheurich 750, it came up with a vase of the same form.

Bay series 750, most likely 1980s . I have a copy of 750/17 with Bay sticker 1974 onwards.
