I've seen early stuff that wasn't marked.

By early do you mean 17th century? :-).
Looking up Longwy marks, it seems to be the pottery with more marks than any other I've seen, even Gouda. I would have thought unmarked pieces were virtually unheard of. The decoration looks more hand done than the Longwy pots but I grant that the closonne style and the colours are the same.

Tbh, the enamelling is not as crisp as you'd expect from Longwy, but I don't think it's Japanese. Possibly an early 20th century copycat.
