long shot as can't make out the mark , julie ayton ,doubt it ,but as i say the mark is very faint

how bad was the damage ?because it looks a nice piece to me .

There's a chunk glued back on the rim and the neck's broken and been glued back together. Seller was asking £20 for it before I pointed out the broken neck.

Damaged rim and neck visible here. Seems to be an earthenware body with a thin glaze on top. If you're interested Ed I'm going back with a Buckingham Palace guard's red coat to show him.

I'd say so, yes. If it was a Rie or similar I'd make an exception.
