Thought I'd add this to the thread just for info.
Penybont pottery vase.
Stamped 'PENYBONT' on the base (not incredibly clear) no other marks as far as I can see.

Some info about David Weake who potted at Penybont c.1960s-80s, via Liz Turner, Penybont and District History Group Notes 2nd Dec. 2019: Traditional Cottage Crafts of the Area:
David Weake [...] lived at the Police House in Penybont and as well as being Head of Art at Llandrindod High School [and] a well-known uni-cyclist, he was a celebrated potter. There was a memory from members of every child in the Parish being given a brown and white mug in slipware in memory of the 1969 Investiture of the Prince of Wales. He died in the late 1990s.
