unmarked 'Poole Pottery' plate
this one is for the poole pottery collectors.
I have just bought this unmarked plate, hand decorated with the Poole dolphin,9.25 inches diameter,it looks like 1970's production to me but I would appreciate your input.

If you have the Collectors club magazine for Spring 2001 see p.5. The plate was made for a medieval feast held by Poole borough in 1971 to celebrate 600yr anniversary of the granting of the Montacute charter to the borough of Poole. There was also a bowl and beaker produced.

Re: unmarked 'Poole Pottery' plate
I had a set of these once. They were designed by Alan White for a medieval feast. The bowl and beaker were backstamped Montacute Charter 1371 - 1971 POOLE. This is the only known Poole Pottery backstamp not to carry the Pottery name.
