Large Purple Vase - "Marquis" made for Waterford Empty Large Purple Vase - "Marquis" made for Waterford

Unfortunately this is not my vase but it belongs to an acquaintance who's trying to identify the maker.  She picked it up at a flea market with a few other Riihimaki pieces.  It weighs about 2 kg and the base is clear glass.  I'm going to do some google image searching but thought you might have some ideas here.

Doesn't look like a Riihimaki design or colour.

I might have found it!

Waterford Marquis...  


Shape is "Rumba"

Hi BD. I think the "Marquis" ranges were bought-in, not made by Waterford.
Certainly German crystal vases and Austrian glass photo-frames, so you never know!

Great spot, I would not have thought Waterford... Have seen one this shape in an olive green too. Looking at images via Google there seem to be several shapes in the Marquis range produced for Waterford and in a few colours too.
Apparently one of these has a made in Poland sticker as well as the etched mark.
