Steamtrain mark - Stewart Johnston, Aboyne

Picked up this lovely little pot this morning which has the most unusual mark I have ever seen. Not even sure how to describe it but to me if you rotate it, it looks like a transformer.

Coming straight at you . Smoke coming from stack ( if that's what steam engines have ! )

So was I Naomi, the steam and chimney became the legs on my transformer :)

Here is my contribution to this thread, a footed candle holder by Stewart Johnston of the Dess Station Pottery. Presumably his steam train motif is a reference to the station. Does anyone have any details of this chap, he seems pretty difficult to track down?

I have recently bought this very large ‘still life’ by Stewart Johnston, which is super unusual and I would love to know more about the artist.The bell rings and the stoppers are removable.  Anyone have anymore information about Stewart ? I’m planning to sell so any ideas on a price would be very welcome
