St Ives Studio Pottery lamp base 1970's signed Bousfield

Hi

My Father bought this in a studio pottery shop in St Ives around 1970 (think of the other pieces he could have bought at that time). Bloody hideous piece barley amateur at best, incised name along lines of Bousfield inside lower base.

There is a potter working in Hackney called Caroline Bousfield and I suppose there might be a connection even if it is not hers (I think that 1970 might just be a little too early for her).

As you say, your father could have bought something better so, even if you find the person who made it, are they going to admit it?
