Can anyone shed any light on this Hawkshead piece?
Did this conversation get resolved? I found this bowl on Saturday in a charity shop. It is quite striking but again in earthenware and not really like any of the Loshak designs I can identify. The bowl is around 10" in diameter and stands 1.75" tall. Hand signed "Hawkshead on the back just to confuse the matter further.

Love it! Reminds me of some chicken pieces done by David Eeles, Shepherd's Well Pottery

Re: Hawkshead Pottery, Slipware
On reflection it looks very like Carole Glover's style of slipware. Her bio says she was in Devon and Stafford, but no mention of Hawkshead

Hawkshead Pottery slipware and sgraffito decoration, with ink stamp
I've split this from Avis & Bernard Loshak pottery, Esthwaite, Hawkshead, Cumbria, because, aside from the location, there's no evidence it's the same pottery.
