Rescued this morning large vase incised A . Empty Rescued this morning large vase incised A .

I rescued this this morning from a tip , thought it was safe to lend my marks book out Christmas Eve to family as wouldn't need over the break  WRONG! Could anyone assist with the pottery or potter it's really nice IMHO ,it is heavy and is 46 cm high and 18cm across. It appears to be A with extended tail. It looks like the work of a hobby potter to me but definitely deserved rescuing.

I agree with Studio-Pots, but I'd like to see a photo of the base to be sure.

Is it wheel turned or coil built or slab built? If it's heavy Id suspect it's coil built.

I think it's coil built. More likely to be a hobby potter, then.
