Green glazed pots - Belgium Art Pottery (not Farnham)

I picked up this small two handled pot as I was struck by the colour. I wondered if it could be from Farnham, I may be miles out as I am only basing this on a couple of pieces I have seen which seemed a similar colour. There are no marks on base apart from 3 dots which I assume to be from stacking during firing. The pot is 7 cms tall x 8 cms diameter

Some of the posts on this thread have been split from the Farnham thread because they’ve since proved to be Belgium. Not sure about the vase below; unfortunately there’s no base photo to check if it’s Belgium or Farnham but it’s unlike other Farnham pots so it’s included here unless or until proved otherwise - Admin

Moved from the Farnham thread because the base and style doesn’t match Farnham Pottery. There’s an example of this vase on the studiopottery.com website but the base matches the Belgium Art Pottery in this thread so I believe it’s been misattributed. There wasn’t an example of this style of vase on the Harris/Farnham Pottery website before it closed. - Admin

We need a base picture please, but I expect it's Brannam Pottery or Baron Pottery.

Edited to say the 3 spur marks on the base are consistent with Belgium pottery..

I'd rule out Farnham Naomi, maybe Rye or French, I think Rye , nice find .

I have this pot with 4 handles and want to know if anyone has seen another , I know dicker did a double handle and the glaze is similar to Rye and Farnham and probably the same period around the early 1900's it' s 10" High and no markings .

Cheers paul , Iv'e had a good look through a few provencal pots , but can't find a match as yet , anywho it's now got 40 watchers and ticking along quite nicely for a £5 + postage buy , the watchers can't all be stalkers from the forum surely Laughter

I watch things if I've got something similar and I'm curious to see how much they go for, or because the item is a bit expensive and I'm hoping the seller will drop the price at some point. But 50 watchers for a piece on for only a fiver seems a bit odd.

I'm only joking about the watchers , I watch all sorts just to see how they go , with this pot , I bought it for a fiver it's up to £26 with a day left , what's odd is that Iv'e had that period pieces before without the interest , maybe it's the 4 handle thing , I dunno , really Shrugs

I wasn't particularly suggesting provencal just that old country pottery has lots of collectors and an unusual shape gets them excited

This part of the forum is open to anyone so 'lurkers' as I prefer to call them are probably amongst your watchers. I was a serial lurker a few years ago, until outed Shrugs

I know this is an old one but I'm sure I saw a piece like this recently. Ed will know.
Farnham Pottery is another possibility. Maybe made for Libertys. Belgium is also possible.

Could this be French provincial ware or maybe British studio/art pottery? Not sure if it could have any use with this two spouts. The handles look like they could be used to thread something through them and hang maybe? Nice green glaze with some crazing. Made of white clay. Not sure if the mark at the base could be actually pottery mark. 5 1/2'' (14cm) tall.

The shape is a bit odd for Bitish art pottery, outside chance it's Torquay, but probably
continental, Maybe Belgian.

Doesn't look like Torquay after all. Looks like Farnham used darker clay but good call Naomi, thanks. Continental is more probable option I think.
