Tall Raku Lustre Glaze Urn/Jar Unmarked
Found this in a charity shop today, totally caught my eye yesterday as it was on display in the window however the shop had closed for the day. Completely unmarked so have no clue as to where to begin looking, Japanese or just oriental influenced? A couple of star cracks on it unfortunately but tbh they look as though the may have happened during firing.

I could be completely wrong, but my first thought is it's a foreign import. Maybe Moroccan or Taiwan.

The colours but not the shape reminded me of Bruce Chivers when I initially saw it but the glazing is too slapdash.
I suspect any chance of identification is going to depend on someone recognising the shape on the lid.

Lol Denby. Yeah studio I know what you mean, possibly someone trying to copy his style. I know these are sometimes called keep sake urns, hope it's not been used .......
