Yunomi Chawan H mark - cf. Elsie Blumer
Can't make up my mind as to whether this mark is a kanji or H.

Think I might have seen that glaze and mark before on a mug in a charity shop on Leith Walk - so it might be a local Edinburgh potter. Don't know who, though.

Yeah I bought it in Morningside so may well be.

As long as you leave the Haddington and Dalkeith shops to me, I'll let you have the rest of it!

I saw that mark but I'm not familiar with her work. "The book" say that her pots are porcelain with crystalline glazes, which this is not................ but she did work for a long period. However, in Birmingham and then Sussex.

Godden's lists it as Harborne Pottery, E.M. & B Blumer, pottery, tiles etc.

Therefore it is likely that the BSPM description that I copied was after she "retired" to Sussex.
The mark in the books doesn't look quite right to be honest but not having seen any pots "in the flesh" it is difficult to draw conclusions.
