I need help identifying this vase
I have a pottery vase that I inherited from my great-grand-mother who died in 1945. It has no marks except two numbers stamped on the bottom: 2315 and 38 below that.
The maiden, flowered branch, and other white accents are three dimensional (not painted on)
It is just under 12 inches tall and has a matte finish. I would describe the colors as pale green and white. It could be an inexpensive piece, I just don't know. Pictures are attached.
Thanks,
Roy

Re: I need help identifying this vase
Might be German. Possibly Victorian or into the 1920s.
If it's pate-sur-pate, where the white clay has been molded then laid on top of the green clay, then it's better than a molded vase with white painted reliefs, or green painted background.
Others will know better than be who made it.

Looks like Jasper Ware to me, many candidates Wedgwood, Dudson, Adams etc to name a few

Re: I need help identifying this vase
Most of them impressed their name on the base. Doesn't look like their numbering system tbh.

There is a seam running along the side of the vase body, bottom to top, so I assume that means is was molded, but I can't tell about the white clay reliefs.
There is a small chip on the inside of the lip. Inside of the chip looks like porcelain.

Re: I need help identifying this vase
There was a German firm called Schafer and Vater who made Jasperware and used this kind of numbering:

Re: I need help identifying this vase
I Googled Jasperware and saw many items that looked similar, but I did not find my vase. I did find others that were the same color, sage green, but not the same vase.
