Small vase marked Johor Craft, (Malaysia)

Hey everyone,

So yes, this is my first post and I hope one of many.

I purchased a small vase a few months ago and I've now spent much time trying to find out a little bit more about its source and maker. I'm sure there is an easy answer and I finally resorted to searching for a forum or website where I could help in identifying it!

It's a small vase with a decorative glazed flower pattern in one place, the surface of which is ever so slightly raised. The remainder of the vase remains unglazed.

My opinion is that the underside reads either JO MOORCROFT or JO MOORGRAFT.

If there is someone out there who can shed some light on it then that would be fantastic!

It reads Johor Craft, its Malaysian.

Welcome Tom and glad that you were able to load images, which can be tricky the first time.

I haven't seen the mark or work before but had just written what Davee has and got beaten to it!!!

So...do we know if these vases are mass produced in Malaysia or what sort of value they hold?

We don't do valuations as such but I would imagine that they were mass produced and sold fairly cheaply.

Maybe Davee or someone can give a more definitive answer.

Thats cool...I shall keep in its pride of place, on my wife bedside table. SHE LOVES IT.

Best to get the other half on side straight away.
