japanese? studio pottery
i put this up a little while ago, but pic seems to have disappeared as i think i put it in the wrong thread. Anyhow, here it is again and slightly more in focus hopefully. I'm not sure if it's Japanese, Chinese or other. Neither am i sure which way up the mark should be read.
Re: japanese? studio pottery
Japanese, I think. Bizen? Mark looks upsidedown to me.

Re: japanese? studio pottery
It is Japanese and, although the firing style looks like that of Bizen the stoneware body and the shape are not typically Bizen.
The mark also doesn't look like that of a Bizen kiln, as it has too many kanji. Therefore, I suspect that it is the mark of a company that sources pots from all over Japan, as with Naomi's shino vase of a few days ago.
