The mark looks like a P but can you have a guess what might be to the left?

i think that mark is upside down so i will rule out ray finch... have been trying to get more out of the mark with sticky glue and i came out with db mark joint together in square seal

Looks like early chessell pottery? Found a porcelain vase with pretty much the same mark on this bowl and it says chessell pottery

Do you mean the mark is CP? If so its more likely to be Cooper Pottery. Chessell Pottery didn't make this sort of stoneware.

Yes the mark is more like cp rather than db like i thought before.

Cooper Pottery would be my guess then.
Edited to add, Rait Pottery in Scotland has a similar style of decoration
