Small bowl / Yunomi impressed DSF or DJF mark
Hi
We have been collecting pottery/ceramics & glass for a number of years and have a few 'stumbling blocks' relating to marks. This is one of them.
A finely crafted bowl / Yunomi about 2.5 inches high impressed with a capital 'D' with an 'f' in the style of an 's' there is also a 'dot' to the right of the mark. The base has a lovley pointed finish in he middle. We looked at David Frith, but decided it wasn't his mark/style. So we are a bit stuck.
Any help would be appreciated

Not Dan Finnegan by any chance? (A long shot. Not his usual mark).

It is a very nice little bowl by someone who knows what they were doing. I just feel that if the potter was from this country that I ought to have come across him.

Or by someone who's changed their mark.

I don't know enough about Dan Finnegan to say whether he has changed his mark or not but am aware that he has been over here on occasions since leaving Winchcombe so there will be some of his work around the UK.
Probably a long shot as you say Naomi but I wouldn't dismiss the idea that he could have made it.
