The Camberwell school
It's amazing the amount of talent that came from that school , I'm thinking from when Ian Auld was there , the potters and teachers were really a who's who of pottery , with a few notable exceptions of course .

Re: The Camberwell school
Other Art colleges also had their "golden periods" when there was an inspiring mix of tutors. These attracted students interested in the tutors field of expertise and lead them to become important artists in their own right.
Sadly, those days are not going to return as there are less and less courses and what remain are just homogenous "Art Degrees" with a few weeks of specialisation.
It was interesting talking to Sara Radstone about her time at Camberwell a few weeks ago. When she was a student the tutors and visiting tutors including Ian Auld, Hans Coper, Colin Pearson, Ewen Henderson, and Gillian Lowndes. Not a bad selection of people to inspire you to use clay as you wished.

Not a bad selection at all , I know other schools produced great talent , the central school etc , but Camberwell was something else , must have been something in the air at the time

I only know what Iv'e read Brin , which isn't much TBH , british studio ceramics ( Paul Rice ) , it's just that a lot of the Potters I like were associated with that school , other schools had purple patches too , i doubt we'll ( i'll ) see the likes of again .
