Henry Houghton Trivick St. Michaels St. Albans
Hello all
I discovered a painting whilst clearing out my late Aunt's house (pictures included).
After some online research I have found a similar picture by Henry Houghton Trivick of St. Michael's in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK.
The painting I found has the letters "HT" in the bottom right hand corner.
Can anyone shed any light as to if this could possibly be by the artist himself?
The link below shows the actual picture by the artist of the scene and what it looks like now:

The picture with frame measures approx. 14.5" x 12.5".
The picture on its own measures approx. 11.5" x 9.5".
Thank you.

It does seem to be by that artist. Not much is known about him. He has a short entry in Wikipedia which includes a few references to follow up.

Re: Henry Houghton Trivick St. Michaels St. Albans
Henry Trivick (1908 -1922) was an artist, teacher and writer and lived for much of his life in Bourne End, Bucks, which is about 30 miles from St. Albans so it does fit in to his style and area of the country so I would imagine it's by him.
He did execute murals on the liner, Queen Elizabeth II and his work it in the collections of the V&A Museum, Ashmolean Oxford and the Imperial War Museum. Having said that, his work doesn't fetch a great deal i.e £100 to £200 on a good day.
