Teapot with MH or HW mark
Here is an interesting coffee pot with a copper spout. It has the marking of Wayne Hathaway
but no Dartington mark.
Obviously upside down.
Anybody got any similar bits or any info apart from the already posted stuff?

I'm not convinced it's Wayne's mark. It looks handwritten rather than a stamp.

Re: Teapot with MH or HW mark
Do you think it is somebody else with the same initials using the same monogram?
Whoever threw this knew what they were doing so why would they want to be confused with an unknown potter from Dartington? I think it may be one if his early pieces. I have potted a bit and I certainly used the same stamp but in different forms once I had found a stamp that I was happy with.

Re: Teapot with MH or HW mark
I think it's simply another potter with the same initials. Happens all the time, eg Laurie Short and Simon Leach. Plus this isn't a stamp like Wayne's usual mark.

...I'm going to move it out to ID My Pottery until we get confirmation that it is a Dartington piece. Turned the other way up it could be HW for Humphrey Wakefield.

Teapot with HM or WH mark
But Humphrey Wakefield had sticky-on labels and the mark didn't look much like this, it was more curly.

Re: Teapot with MH or HW mark
MH, maybe? Not even sure it's British. Scandinavian, maybe.
