Re: Please help to Id Pot - PW mark
looks to be the same potter as your other piece, is there a date or something under that M monogram?

I think it's PW. Don't have time to look it up now but I'll come back to it tonight.

Re: Please help to Id Pot - PW mark
Hi Guys just to give you this background info that my client provided.
He has asked me to help identify his collection that he acquired in
1970. It was the 100 year anniversary of the Pilgrim fathers sailing from Plymouth UK to America on a ship called the Mayflower. He and a friend of his opened an Art Gallery [Uropa Art Gallery ] in the historic part of the city very near the dock used by the original Mayflower. He place an advertisment seeking local artists and potters and was inundated with work so another friend who headed the Art department at the local university helped him to choose some for the exhibition. My client ended up purchasing a lot of the work himself as he loved it so much. So these pictures are examples of the pieces he acquired then but some of the pots were given as gifts to him later down the track. Unfortunately he does not have the information on all of them now and so this is why we thought this would be a good place to start.

Re: Please help to Id Pot - PW mark
I wonder if the two PW pieces are by Peter Wright? Not like items of his that I'm familiar with so can't be certain.
He worked near Bath, which is at least in the same part of the country as Plymouth but maybe not near enough.
