Another piece with no makers mark, has rather cute owls to the sides, any theories/ideas to who the maker could be would be appreciated

Probably Chinese and probably originally had sticky label saying.... Made in China.

Alternatively, the sticky label could have said Japan but whatever they were made for the Western market and especially for people who like owls. Therefore my mother would also have like it.

Agree, Korea or China. Lovely quality. I've been tempted myself a few times, but I'd have ended up with cupboards full of tea sets if i'd succumbed.
