Very nice, but not much to go on unfortunately. Shame there's no mark but I guess it was made to be used.

Yes, purely functional. Probably had one of those 60-70s sticky labels on it originally. It does have a nice potter's handprint on the base; maybe I'll be able to match the fingerprints at some point

I suspect it is a 1970s piece and could have had a label originally. The opening at the top is unusually large for a flagon.
All you need is a piece with these throwing rings and a sticky label to come along and you're sorted.

I expect the top originally had a cork bung. I think I have one the right size somewhere.

Yes it would have had a cork bung and I imagine if you haven't got one tucked away somewhere nobody has.

I have wondered if that's possible before too. The potter would have to be on the criminal database..(perhaps Maltby or Rogers)..and we'd need a member whose on the force...and a bit crooked.
