I think you could be right, Naomi. It appears to be a handbuilt animal model by Elizabeth Hird and based on the Kelso Onion. The mark is incised and not the usual impressed mark hence the difference.

I sent an email to Kelso Pottery and they informed me that unfortunately it is NOT one of theirs. So it is back on the unknown shelf.

Richard Brooks used a Kangaroo stamp in Australia. He trained at The Leach Pottery St Ives in the early 70s before moving it to Australia. He passed away last year,
