Your plate mark has similarities in the book to Janet Adam and also John Ablitt , but I doubt it is by any of them as your mark is painted but you never know .

Just bumping this up, after Sunny's Janet Adam pot was Id-ed.

The mark on the plate looks as though it's stamped as there's a partial circle round it, so maybe not Janet Adam's if she always inscribes her mark.

There are two plates or bowls on ID My Pottery, which I think are also by her, but haven't tracked them down yet.

Janet Adam, Edinburgh Empty Ceramic cup signed JH - Janet Adam, Edinburgh

Good evening all.
This rather nice cup (3" tall, 4" diameter) is clearly signed JH on the base. However, I have 'waded through' many example of JH but cannot match it with another. Does anyone recognise this signature?
