Modernistic head bust with cranium exposing brain Empty Modernistic head bust with cranium exposing brain

Hope I did this right? I believe this is a California produced head bust which I bought from a collection of Mid Century items here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Stands 6 1/2" and 6" at the base. Is very unique in that the cranium is exposed to show the brain. Hard to make out signature letters maybe ZF. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You Frank

Not a style of pottery Or a mark ive seen before, sorry
It might be a nut rather than a brain.
