Michael Wai-Kwok Young Plexi-Framed Aluminum Art 1972

Hi Everyone!
I found this incredible piece but I know nothing about it. It's 9 different aluminum squares assembled into a plexiglass frame. It measures 20" around and 3"deep, and weighs in at about 4lbs.
It's titled "Yin Yan", signed Michael Wai-Kwok Young and dated on the back. The date and some Asian characters are embossed into the aluminum in the lower right corner. It's an amazing piece and I'm surprised it's held up so well for 40 years!
Anyone ever heard of the artist?
