It may not be relevant, but as I see it, I'll mention it.
There are 2 noticeable differences between these to marks.
1) The first one has a very flat top to the down stroke, with what looks to be a very slight dip (notch) before going into the rounded part of the mark. This latest one seems to a smooth line between the down stroke and the rounded part.
2) The first mark has the centre dots of the BP in a straight line parallel to the down stroke. This latest one shows the two centres clearly not parallel.
It could be just different stamps made at different times. But it could also be just the same idea, by different potteries?

Its a long thread but buried in there you find the signatures of virtually all the potters that worked at Aldermaston. Stan Johnson is not on any one of those lists. Its not to say that might have been there. They had many short time visitors over a period of over 40 years.
There clearly is a very strong influence tho. Who did Stan Johnson train with?
