There are two Potteries in Corris, and this is Ian Hinchcliffe’s (or spelt Hinchliffe), Quarry Pottery, Corris, Wales.

Is that a miniature salt pig (piglet?), Naomi?

Yes. Very sweet, but a ‘catch and release’ at the local charity shop; I just photographed it for the mark, and put it back.

Is this by Ian Hinchcliffe or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Yes, I believe so. His mark in the Marks book isn’t quite right for these earlier pieces, but the decoration is unmistakable
