Born 1942 in Berlin, Christian came to Australia in 1964.
After working for many years as a storeman at the Adelaide Zoo, he decide on a full time artist's career in 1972.
This was the time when ceramics had a revival which he made use of, concentrating on Australian themes and colorful modern designs.
In 1987 the Auburn Gallery in South Australia opened and he soon became one of the principal artists. He sold his ceramics under the Jester logo.
When, in 2000 the Auburn Gallery was sold he made contact with various other galleries, concentrating more on painting in Acrylic.
These days he is involved in exhibitions at private and community galleries.
A new development is an interest in printmaking (collagraphs).
His main focus has always been exploring new ways of expressing himself.
That accounts for the various styles he has developed.
He hopes the future will be as exciting as the past has been.
