Huge & Detailed Majolica Jug or Water Pitcher
Hi Everyone. I'm really pumped up about this piece of Majolica that I have and I'm hoping one of the resident experts can give me some help identifying the piece please.
First off, did I say it was huge? It's 18" or 45cm from base to lip. The base itself is 7.5" or 19.5cm wide. Its a beautiful green color and it's depicting a castle with soldiers leaving to a fanfare over the drawbridge. As you turn the jug, the soldiers are going through the forest two by two all on horseback. It's really quite detailed.
What's also interesting is this is a signed piece. By who, I have no idea and that's another reason I'm searching for some help. I've attached a few pictures and the last one is of the signature.
It just seems too nice and detailed to be an ordinary (tongue between cheek) piece of Majolica.
Your help is always greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

It would be useful to see the base.

I would go a little bit east of Germany and suggest Austria. Looks to be the type produced just before the 1st world war and the break up of the Austrian/Hungarian empire in what is now the Czech republic. Lots of factories to choose from. The words on the side could be who made it but more likely what it represents, a story /fairy tale.
