Czech, Hungarian, German, Italian? Mystery funky 60's watch charger
Hi all
Spotted this funky charger last week and was off to a meeting so could not buy it. Came back this week and it was still for sale so I bought it.
It measures 34 1/2 CM across (just under 14 inches) and appears at first to be hobby potter type of thing. But when you take a close look you realise that all the elements for what I take to be a stylised pocket watch are hand made, not stuck on from real parts and between each element is a different glaze effect or colour. It's got a huge amount of work in it. It is signed but who made it is a mystery to me. I had thought German or Italian just through some of the glazes reminding me of that work but I am guessing really. I am hoping somebody here has seen this work or the signature before. Fingers crossed.

Looks Continental, maybe Spain or Italy.
Very much a long shot but came across a Bulgarian pottery recently called Danko Pottery (Dankohandmade on Etsy) which does some really quirky pieces, but I don't know what their mark is.

Had a look at Danko not sure that he matches the clay style on this one. This is almost Troika is effect. I was hoping one of the experts in German ceramics would go "ah yes I know that" but sadly not so far. I may well live above my desk for a while then (looks good on the wall), although I do have Peterborough in a couple of weeks LOL.

Hungarian is a possibility. The clay and white glaze reminds me of my fish charger.
