Studio or Poundland? Empty Studio or Poundland?

Post by Greenie1689 September 23rd 2015, 1:02 pm

I can't find any sign of a potter's mark on this so I'm guessing it could be mass-produced. Feel free to delete the post if it doesn't fit with the site's ethos but I'll continue to love it.

Any ideas????

I think it is mass produced, but I have no idea who by.

No reason to delete the thread, this is an ID section for ceramics, not just Studio Pottery Laughter

They are factory made but 20th Century (aka pre-Poundland).

Thanks for the info!

I still like it but that probably confirms I have no taste.

I'll tell the kids it's worth a fortune and they can squabble over it as part of their shared inheritance Laughter

Why not make it your task to find more so that they can have one each?

Has a vague resemblance to the later work made by the Dutch potter Pieter Groeneveldt but obviously not of course. See my membership picture for an example of his early work.
I have a couple of items similar to your which I managed to indentify some years ago. Unfortunately the name escapes me. It is English and from memory somewhere in the South East of England.
