Looks a bit like Chelsea/Guernsey, but that name...

It's possible, Denby. I still think Briglin's more likely than Chelsea or Guernsey - maybe an ex-Briglin potter?

That looks like a circumflex over the o so I'd be looking at French potteries, or possibly Belgian or Canadian
