hi, can anyone shed some light on what the marks are on the bottom of this small vase? looks like "R 2221.TEN-1st 21-2nd"?

Agreed, although the clay and writing did make me think of Rourke's Drift pottery


Sorry, accidentally deleted previous comment which suggested it was a glaze test pot.
