Vintage Italian Dish Abstract Design. Spider Mark On Base Please Be Fantoni

Small dish about 14 cm across. Looks 50's or 60's at a guess. Stamped 'Italy' with a spider, an 'E' (with some other letters not stamped properly) and a series of small dot indentations, I don't know if these are relevant to ID....help?
I was hoping Fantoni but the mark isn't right.

I've picked up a very similar bowl recently. The illustration on mine is of Pierrot with guitar. It has the same squiggly decoration on the outside. The mark is the same (unfortunately equally faded!).
Thought I'd bump this in case anything has come to light on this mark.

if it is marked Italy, it is not San Marino
