My first thought was one of the 50s British manufacturers but I'd expect a white clay. Now I'm wondering if it's Spanish or Portuguese.

Something about it shouts Chelsea to me. Could be worth a look to sere if you can find a matching signature by them, the raised design is very familiar. It could match some of the flower plates that are around and pretty common. Good luck  Happy
