Bought from ebay, very attractive in my eyes and I have seen similar Malones. There is just an M or W scratched, no stamped JM. I'd just like your thoughts. It is only 9cms tall, 5.75 across the top.

I have read your advice about uploading images but after half an hour cannot get beyond the list of options beginning with Thumbnail. Sorry. I know it is hopeless without .

Other new members have had similar problems but we don't know at which point in the procedure the problem lies, or whether it's simply a matter of practice. Are you uploading from a smart phone or laptop or iPad?
Alternatively you could upload to Pinterest and post the link here.

I doubt it's Jim Malone, my bet would be that the "M" or "W" incised is some kind of glaze code for testing.

Looks a lot like Andrew Crouch to me.

I'm assuming it's this one you bought -

Not Jim Malone's mark. The mark looks handwritten which tends to point to a student potter.

We'll have to disagree on this one Naomi Cheeky

The Tenmoku glaze is good well applied, The base is finished well (it's a tiny pot), the throwing and cut sides are competent and the thickness/weight looks right.

It looks a delightful little pot but doesn't really have any of the hallmarks of Jim's work as suggested.

Can't come up with any suggestions as to who made it.
