This jug was probably made in the 1970s. In the 80s Susan moved with her husband, the painter RTH Smith, from Nether Lennie to a lovely Georgian house in Ratho, near Edinburgh, where she continued making pots. I think she's now retired. Last heard of a few years ago living, as I recall, somewhere in rural Inverness-shire.

This might be a Ratho pot, then, as its from a relative who bought a few pieces from her holidays in Scotland after she retired in the 80s. The label is from another pot.

By coincidence I happened to pick up this Susan Senior charger today, at 16 inches in diameter by far the biggest piece I've ever seen by her.  Clearly marked on the back with both her seals and dated 1983.
